William Simpson is currently a doctoral student in philosophy at the  University of Cambridge, having completed an MPhil in the history and  philosophy of science. Prior to embarking on his philosophical studies at Cambridge, he pursued research in theoretical physics at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel and the University of St Andrews, and completed a doctorate in theoretical physics and a Masters degree in physics and mathematics at the University of St Andrews.
