Came-Nietzsche as a Christian Thinker

Daniel Came is Senior Lecturer in Philosophy at the University of Lincoln. He holds BA and MPhil degrees in Philosophy from the University of Cambridge and a DPhil in Philosophy from the University of Oxford. He is the editor of Nietzsche on Art and Life (Oxford: Oxford University Press, 2014). This collection of new essays brings together a number of distinguished figures in contemporary Anglo-American Nietzsche scholarship to examine Nietzsche's views on art and the aesthetic in the context of his wider practical-existential concerns. He was recently awarded a research grant by the University of California, Riverside (in association with the John Templeton Foundation) to investigate philosophical questions pertaining to immortality and radical life extension. He is also the founder and organiser of the Lincoln Philosophy Salon, which holds monthly talks for a general audience from leading professional philosophers. Past and upcoming speakers include Angie Hobbs, A.C. Grayling, Jimmy Lenman, David Papineau, and Nancy Cartwright.
